Coaching is about you as a whole person: your values, goals, work, balance, fulfillment and life purpose. Coaching is not advice, therapy or counseling. Throughout our coaching relationship, the conversations will be very direct and personal. You can count on me to be honest and straightforward, asking clarifying questions and making empowering requests. The purpose of our interactions is to hold your focus on your desired outcomes.
During the coaching we will look at:
- Fulfillment: Values and how you live them and the vision you have for yourself.
- Balance: Perspectives and understanding choices and designing action for moving toward your goals.
- Process: Fully experiencing the process of life at any point of time in such a way as to understand and celebrate your life in a full and healthy way and clearly link how you live with your life’s purpose.
Tough Coaching
What is tough coaching?
Tough coaching is having that crucial discussion that a manager or client really doesn’t want to have but for the sake of the individual as well as the organization, it needs to happen.
Coaching is not about giving advice or telling someone off, nor is it about “performance feedback.” It is about helping the coaching client grow and discover how they can live to the fullest.
Why does it need to happen? There are times that there are things the client is doing that impede them achieving their goals.
If the individual doesn’t have a coach, even if they have an inkling that there is an issue, they may choose not to face it, and as a result continue down a path that will leave them coming up short.
A coach that doesn’t directly and clearly provide the coaching, is not doing the client any favors.
